A Strong Mathematical Foundation for Every Learner

At Centreville Layton School, we know that a strong math education looks different for every student. That’s why our math program is built on a flexible, individualized approach using DeltaMath—a comprehensive, computer-based curriculum aligned with core standards in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Individualized Learning, Real Progress

Our students arrive with a wide range of math skill levels. DeltaMath allows us to meet each learner precisely where they are. Through interactive modules and real-time data tracking, we can clearly see where students begin, how they grow, and where they finish each year. This ensures they’re placed in the most appropriate level for the following year—setting them up for ongoing success.

Student-Centered Instruction

DeltaMath empowers students to learn at their own pace. Each problem comes with embedded video lessons and sample problems, allowing students to review concepts independently while still receiving one-on-one support from teachers when needed. This approach encourages self-advocacy and builds confidence in their ability to tackle challenging material.

Tools for Targeted Support

Our faculty can generate tailored assessments through DeltaMath, helping us identify skill gaps early and design individualized learning plans. This is particularly beneficial for students in our Success (Tiered) Support program, where personalized pathways make meaningful growth possible.

Built-In Flexibility and Accommodations

DeltaMath includes built-in accommodations to ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed. Educators can adjust problem difficulty, extend deadlines and time allowances, and provide unlimited attempts to solve problems—focusing on rewarding persistence and mastery rather than penalizing mistakes.

Building Essential Problem-Solving Skills

Problem-solving lies at the heart of effective math instruction. DeltaMath reinforces and rewards critical thinking at every level, helping students strengthen not only their mathematical understanding but also their executive functioning and sense of ownership over their learning.

The difference is clear

Our son learned the valuable skills of teamwork, patience and perseverance during his time at Centreville Layton as well as the academic strategies to move forward into a typical high school setting. Centreville Layton strikes a great balance of family-like warmth and discipline in a beautiful country setting.

Former Parent

This past year has been completely transformational for our daughter and her positive strides have been noticeable both at home and at school. She is growing into the best version of herself and her teachers at CLS have played a significant role in her progress.

This year, I’ve learned to understand that acceptance is greatly appreciated but difficult to find. Compared to where I came from, CLS houses some of the most accepting people that I’ve ever met. I am thankful for every little act of kindness shown towards me or even towards another student. They have not gone unnoticed.

We’re prepared for this because we’ve learned how to work hard, solve problems, be independent, happy, responsible and kind to all.

The support from my teachers taught me not just reading and writing, but to embrace who I am, to learn from my mistakes and grow because of them.
