Who We Are

Centreville Layton School provides a comprehensive PreK – 12th grade program for students who learn differently and those who seek a personal academic experience.

About

In keeping with the Centreville Layton School mission, the SUCCESS program serves Centreville Layton students who require accommodations and modified coursework. Beyond the traditional academic content, SUCCESS courses stress self-awareness, cooperation, communication, and citizenship. Students cultivate confidence and become self-advocates through thoughtful development of the executive function skills necessary for college, career, and life satisfaction.

School Day

  • Traditional academics, including language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and elective offerings
  • Career and College Preparedness Program
    • Grade 9: Intervention
    • Grade 10: Community Service and Career Skills Exploration
    • Grade 11: Centreville Work Internships and Job Skills Training
    • Grade 12: Independent Work opportunities
  • September – June, 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Average Class Size 6
  • Student/Teacher Ratio 2:1

Integrated Supports

  • Direct instruction to support executive functions (attention, memory, higher order cognition, time management, organization, sequencing, processing, language, retrieval)
  • Direct instruction to support metacognition (planning, execution, problem-solving, self-monitoring, self-reflection)
  • Accommodations and modifications, as necessary
